We’re not quite sure the use for these little icon bad boys, but they sure are something worth talking about. After ‘behancing’ about the web, we thought a user interface design (UI) project might be a nice varying addition to our blogosphere. Therefore, starting with this ‘Container Icon Set V4’ of cargo vans and boxes, we introduce to you the work of Mehmet Gozetlik!

The new container set is comprised of 48 meticulously detailed and flamboyant icons from the shipping industry. They are usefully compatible with any Mac OS Operating system and also with Windows XP and Windows Vista! (He’s definitely not system biased either!)

The project was selected for our blog due to their careful respect and admiration for all the finest detail and appreciation for the full colour spectrum. The attention to a condensed scale also caught our eye and is alarmingly adorable at the same time. Consistent and talented digital work has gone into this endeavor- that much is clear! With all of us frequent everyday web and product consumers, we thought this expansive set was very applicable to current trends and amazing computer abilities nowadays! We all interact with and embrace these selected project logos and brands so often that knowing what they all are without actually studying them, is now second nature to us. This digital project concentrates on the packaging and delivery aspects involved with such big icons and is reminder of the 21st century we are in.

User interface design is involved with the design of computers, appliances, mobile communication devices, tablets, software design and websites etc. with a focus on the user’s experience and interaction. The aim is usually to make the experience the best it can be and suited to the device involved. Simplicity, stimulation, good functioning and efficiency are key to UI. Therefore this miniature set of icons would be embedded in a larger holistic project of a user interface- perhaps-to name a few suggestions- used within a smartphone app, a website favicon, an icon someone could use on a messenger program.
